Ever wondered why some companies gets improved, bigger and better attracting more customers than others even when they offer the same service? Looking at the tons of companies in the UK, do you still wonder why a lot of them are making it big as if there is no competition? Your guess is as good as mine.

The way and manner in which any company or individual communicates, treats and attends to its customer is a landing to as if that customer would revisit again or not. It is important to note that a good customer service is better than up to half of real businesses.  This is because the customer service of any company speaks first for the company. Getting a good customer service is crucial, but once you get one, you set your company on the lead. A lot of UK based companies have found the need to adopt this method of offering quality services to all customers, and to that effect, business keeps booming.

Best and worst company sector in the UK

It is no surprise because every thing that has an upside would also have a downside. Generally, UK based companies offers quality customer services but this does not mean that all of the companies in the UK have attained perfection in rendering good quality service. According to the UK satisfaction customer index (UKSCI) which carries out evaluation of every company's customer service in all of the 13 sectors in the UK, there have been an indication of the yearly report of companies who performs best in offering quality service by topping the list while those found at the bottom have been tagged as one who renders a bad service. The evaluation is carried out twice in every year a 6 month online survey of customers which is demographically representative of the UK.

The UKSCI is a national body whose online survey is strictly with the customer. Respondents are asked to rate their individual experience with companies on the scale of 1-10, and the company who gets the highest rating bags the best customer service company of the year in the UK. Respondents have restrictions as regards age, gender etc. An example is seen in the recent survey on finance companies and the following finance company topped the listed with a rating of 

  • First direct – 85.7
  • SAGA insurance – 84.1
  • Nationwide – 83.7
  • LV – 82.4
  • Aviva – 82
